I am head of the Research and Development department and deputy scientific director at Mercator Ocean International where we develop and validate the ocean analysis and forecasting systems. That includes research and development activities on ocean reanalysis and ocean forecast at global and regional scale for ocean physics, sea ice and marine biogeochemistry. I am also the leader of the global monitoring and forecasting centre for Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service.
